Educator closely follows the developments of the IMS Project (Information Management Systems) as well as the SCORM (Sharable Course Objects Reference Model) project. Both initiatives address standards e-learning platforms should adhere to to promote a higher level of course and learning object interoperability. Due to Ucompass' commitment to seamless transfer of course content between e-learning platforms, you can switch to Educator without fear of losing the resources and content you've already built. Converting to Educator from Another Platform Ucompass considers Educator to be the most robust, user-friendly and effective product of its kind in existence. If you explore Educator and come to the same conclusion, you can seamlessly switch to us while preserving content/courses/records from your previous e-learning application. Any e-learning platform that is capable of generating an imsmanifest.xml resource and associated content cartridge can be easily loaded into Educator. The ensuing product you get will often be more functional than in its original format due to the rich and advanced pedagogic instrumentation of Educator. If your current e-learning platform is not in tune with IMS Compliancy and/or SCORM specifications, we can write custom conversion processes for you at varying charges. Exporting Educator Content Educator's IMS and SCORM utilities allow users to export their resources to a number of different datasets. Content can be sent offline in an Educator KMS format which allows sharing of courses between members of the Educator community. In addition, content can be sent offline in a desktop editable mode in zipped or stuffed format. This content can be edited in any desktop application then reuploaded to Educator. Users can also use Educator's IMS and/or SCORM utilities to export Educator in XML-based cartridges complete with an imsmanifest.xml instructions recipe for insertion into IMS and SCORM practical e-learning platforms.
