Boost Wins Silver at IMS!
The IMS Global Learning Consortium has awarded Boost the Silver Award at its Learning Impact Recognition and Awards Program in Toronto, Canada. The award for our entry is jointly shared with the Florida Virtual School. Boost was built in conjunction with last year's platinum winner, Octane. Ucompass is honored to have had Boost selected to join the ranks of those innovative applications that address significant global challenges in the learning industry.
Boost Honored as a Finalist
The IMS Global Learning Consortium has selected Boost as a finalist for their Learning Impact Recognition and Awards Program. Ucompass Boost: High-performing FLVS Content is a joint submission with the Florida Virtual School. The purpose of the Learning Impact Award is to recognize outstanding applications that address the most significant challenges facing the global education and learning industries. Ucompass Joins SIIA
We've just joined the Software Industry Association of America (SIIA). The SIIA is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries. We look forward to working within the association, serving the industry as a whole, and creating dynamic partnerships with other association members. We relish the opportunity to address the needs of a growing digital landscape, and we believe by working with other members of the SIIA we will be able to do so.
Ucompass Launches Boost at Educause
Our latest Octane tool, Boost, was recently launched at the Educause conference in Philadelphia, PA. Boost provides content creators and publishers with an easy and quick way to add new functionality to their content. It matches keywords and patterns in content to trigger the delivery of a glossary term, a related resource, a support image, or even a link to a video or podcast. Publishers can build their own dictionaries and upload them into Boost, or configure their own dictionary server that provides them access to more advanced word and pattern matching. Octane Wins Prestigious IMS Global Learning Impact Award
We are proud to announce that our new offering, Octane, has been awarded the IMS Global Learning Consortium's highest honor, the Platinum Learning Impact Award. This award recognizes innovative technology use in improving learning across all education segments, in all regions of the world. The award was jointly presented to Ucompass.com and Florida Virtual School (FLVS) to recognize how Octane was used to add new functionality and tools to existing learning content.
